Job summary

SIG Insulation & Dry Lining is seeking a Transport Manager to oversee driver planning, vehicle servicing, MOT scheduling, and compliance. You will ensure effective inter-branch communication to meet delivery KPIs and optimise operations across the cluster.

The role requires strong leadership, relevant transport management experience, and knowledge of fleet and warehouse processes, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and communication skills with business acumen.
• Proven Transport Management experience with fleet and warehouse operations, and knowledge of WTD, safety and compliance.
• Knowledge of vehicle planning and scheduling and good customer care skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning and management of Drivers and vehicle operations.
• Coordinate vehicle service, MOT planning, and compliance.
• Ensure visibility of daily/weekly delivery requirements across branches.
• Drive KPI achievement for all branches within the cluster.

Transport Manager

As Transport Manager, you will overlook the planning and management of all matters related to the Drivers, including vehicle service & MOT planning, WTD, compliance, staff planning, coaching and mentoring of your Drivers. There is a strong emphasis on inter-branch communications ensuring visibility in the daily/weekly delivery requirements so that all delivery schedules are achieved in-line with target KPI’s for the branches within the cluster.

What you’ll bring:

• Strong leadership and communication skills with strong business acumen and the ability to liaise internally across departments
• Proven experience in Transport Management and knowledge of fleet and warehouse operations, and an understanding of WTD, safety and legal compliance
• Knowledge of vehicle planning & scheduling, and good customer care skills
