Job summary

GHD is seeking a Transport Infrastructure Engineer for Leeds, Manchester or Newcastle with a hybrid working pattern (3 days in the office). You will join the Transport & Mobility team to develop practical transport and drainage design solutions for UK projects.

You will work on feasibility through to detailed design, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver high-quality outcomes. The role supports professional development and accreditation pathways within a global

Qualifications

• Degree, HNC or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Working towards professional accreditation (e.g., ICE).
• Incorporated Engineer status or progress towards chartership advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare transport and infrastructure designs, drawings and reports.
• Support feasibility studies and early design development.
• Analyse transport data to inform engineering solutions.
• Contribute to highway and infrastructure design (Section 278/Section 38).
• Develop drainage and SuDS solutions and perform drainage modelling.
• Engage with clients, contractors and regulators for project delivery.
• Support project delivery, programme coordination and bids.
