Job summary

GHD is seeking a Transport Infrastructure Engineer to join its Transport & Mobility team. Based in Leeds, Manchester or Newcastle with hybrid working and three days per week in the office, the role focuses on transport, highways and drainage design across UK projects.

You will develop practical, sustainable solutions from feasibility through to detailed design, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and clients to deliver projects on time and to standard.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Progress toward professional accreditation (ICE or chartership).
• Experience in transport, highways or infrastructure design projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare transport and infrastructure designs, drawings and reports.
• Support feasibility studies and early design development.
• Analyse transport data to inform engineering solutions.
• Contribute to highway drainage and SuDS design.
• Assist with technical submissions and design coordination.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors and regulators on project delivery.
• Support work-winning activities and bid inputs.
• Maintain awareness of standards and apply digital tools for better outcomes.
