Job summary

Romac Logistics in Middleton is seeking a dedicated logistics coordinator for a full-time, permanent role. You will coordinate transportation activities, dispatch drivers, and communicate with drivers, suppliers and customers to ensure timely deliveries.

We offer full training, an experienced team, opportunities for progression, a company pension and holiday allowance. Shift pattern is 4 on 4 off, 18:00 to 06:00, with a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Essential skills: Customer service, logistics, computer literacy.
• Desirable skills: IT, supply chain, proficiency in Word and Outlook.
• Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
• Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
• A valid driving licence is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate transportation activities, including scheduling and dispatching drivers.
• Monitor transportation costs and performance metrics to ensure efficiency.
• Communicate with drivers, suppliers, and customers to coordinate deliveries.
• Utilise logistics software to track shipments and resolve any issues.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of transportation activities.
