Job summary

Romac Logistics is seeking Customer Service & Network Coordinators to join a new 24/7 team at our Chesterfield office. This fast-paced role focuses on monitoring vehicles and drivers across England and Scotland, proactively tracking deliveries and keeping customers and internal teams informed with accurate ETAs and updates.

You will act as the central point of contact between drivers, transport operations and customers, escalating issues and recording incidents.

Qualifications

• Experience using Traffic Management Systems (TMS).
• Excellent telephone manner and clear verbal communication.
• Ability to communicate with drivers, transport operations and customers at all levels.
• Proactive approach to identify issues before escalation.
• Strong ownership and accountability for tasks.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple live deliveries.
• Calm, professional and solutions-focused under pressure.
• Attention to detail when recording information and producing reports.
• Good Excel skills and experience across multiple systems.
• Strong written communication for customer updates and incident reports.

Responsibilities

• Proactively monitor and track vehicles and drivers across the Romac Logistics network in England and Scotland.
• Maintain live visibility of delivery progress against planned times.
• Identify potential delays and communicate with customers, drivers and transport teams.
• Provide proactive notification of delays, revised ETAs and progress updates.
• Produce accurate delivery, service and KPI reports for customers and internal stakeholders.
• Liaise directly with drivers to obtain updates and maintain accurate information.
• Communicate with transport teams across multiple depots and locations.
• Handle customer queries and operational updates as central contact.
• Take ownership from issue identification to resolution or escalation.
• Record all incidents, delays and service failures clearly.
