Job summary

GXO at Sainsbury’s in Kettering is seeking a Transport Coordinator to support a busy delivery operation. The role covers day-to-day transport activity with shift variations: day 06:00-18:00 and night 18:00-06:00. A permanent full-time contract is offered with competitive pay and benefits.

You will coordinate schedules, assist drivers and depot teams, handle queries, monitor performance, and ensure records and safety procedures are followed in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in transport/warehouse administration or customer service environments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with drivers, customers, and colleagues.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily delivery schedules and communicate updates with drivers, depot teams and customers.
• Provide excellent customer service by handling delivery queries, resolving issues, and supporting a positive customer journey.
• Monitor transport and delivery performance, including on-time deliveries, failed drops and KPI reporting.
• Investigate delivery issues, identify process improvements, and support corrective actions to reduce service failures.
• Maintain accurate administrative records, compliance documentation, report, and transport- related system updates.
• Adhere to all Health & Safety and company procedures at all times.

Join GXO at Sainsbury’s in Kettering, as a Transport Coordinatorand become a key part of a busy delivery operation where customer service, accuracy, and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do.

In this role you will support the day-to-day transport operation where no two days are the same.

We are looking for two colleagues to join on a full time, permanent contract, one working on the day shift: 06:00-18:00 and one on the night shift 18:00-06:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
