Job summary

GXO Logistics at Sainsbury's in Kettering is seeking a Transport Coordinator to support daily delivery operations. You will coordinate schedules, handle queries, and ensure accurate records in a fast-paced setting with two shift options (day 06:00-18:00 and night 18:00-06:00).

Qualifications

• Previous experience in transport / warehouse administration or customer service environments.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with drivers, customers, and colleagues.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and remain calm under pressure.
• Proactive and solutions-focused approach with problem-solving skills.
• Confident using Microsoft Office and transport/ logistics systems to manage data and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily delivery schedules and communicate updates with drivers, depot teams and customers.
• Provide excellent customer service by handling delivery queries, resolving issues, and supporting a positive customer journey.
• Monitor transport and delivery performance, including on-time deliveries, failed drops and KPI reporting.
• Investigate delivery issues, identify process improvements, and support corrective actions to reduce service failures.
• Maintain accurate administrative records, compliance documentation, report, and transport-related system updates.
• Adhere to all Health & Safety and company procedures at all times.

Join GXO at Sainsbury's in Kettering, as a Transport Coordinatorand become a key part of a busy delivery operation where customer service, accuracy, and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do.

In this role you will support the day-to-day transport operation where no two days are the same.

We are looking for two colleagues to join on a full time, permanent contract, one working on the day shift: 06:00-18:00 and one on the night shift 18:00-06:00.

What you'll do on a typical day:
