Transport Coordinator Job Description

Are you looking to step into something fresh, exciting, and challenging? Join a dynamic and supportive team where your ideas matter, your work is appreciated, and no two days are ever the same. We are seeking a sharp, organised, and driven Transport Coordinator who is ready to take ownership of logistics, support key operations, and make a real difference.

What will you be doing?

As our Transport Coordinator, you'll be the key to our supply chain operations. You'll manage the movement of goods and occasionally personnel, ensuring everything is efficient, timely, and compliant with legal and safety regulations.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
  1. Planning and coordinating deliveries to ensure customer satisfaction.
  2. Optimising transport routes and schedules.
  3. Liaising with drivers, suppliers, and internal teams for seamless service.
  4. Handling administrative tasks such as documentation and import/export compliance.
  5. Overseeing vehicle logistics, trays, pallets, and proof of delivery records.
  6. Monitoring transport budgets, expenses, and safety issues.
  7. Assisting with transport-related queries, damage claims, and troubleshooting.
  8. Supporting hire/sale order logistics and stock control systems.

This is a hands-on role where attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential.

About you

We are looking for an experienced, sharp-minded individual ready to hit the ground running. You will bring:

  • Proven experience in logistics or transport coordination.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused attitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong time management skills.
  • Solid knowledge of transport systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A collaborative approach, comfortable working across departments and cultures.
  • An understanding of transport regulations and documentation, including import/export.
