As a Transport Coordinator, you'll play a key role at the centre of our operation, where every action you take contributes to our customers enjoying their favourite M&S food.

Our operation in Barnsley is looking for candidates who can commit to a 4on4off shift pattern working between the hours of 08:00 - 20:00 and 18:00 - 06:00.

What will you do & what will you need

As part of your role, you will brief and debrief Drivers, being the first point of contact for all drivers and ensuring all queries are fed back. You will be accountable for legal o-license compliance and operational excellence, including cost and service, as well as peak planning/delivery. Provide the highest level of customer care, find resolutions, and escalate live issues. Monitor all routes to ensure they are running on time and escalate to the Team Manager on shift where appropriate. Use effective time management to complete tasks within the set time frame, utilizing Kronos exceptions & schedules. Conduct daily administrative tasks related to payroll systems, payroll queries, holidays, etc.

Ideally, you will have experience in administration within a busy transport environment, be PC literate with experience in Word and Excel, and have great attention to detail.

Various extensions have been added to support our network growth. Currently, there are 488 colleagues at the site. We provide free parking, and the number 12 bus stop is within a 10-minute walk from the site.
