Job summary

Carrington West seeks an experienced Transport Contracts Manager in Lancashire to oversee the day-to-day supervision of drivers and passenger assistants, manage recruitment and staffing, and ensure service delivery meets Travelcare standards. The role focuses on efficient operations, safety, and strong customer engagement.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years in passenger transport supervision, staff supervision experience, and good IT skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum leadership/ supervisory experience in passenger transport.
• Experience coordinating staff and rostering across multiple runs.
• Familiarity with services for people with disabilities and frailty.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day supervision of drivers, attendants and assistants.
• Manage recruitment, induction, staff allocation and absence cover.
• Conduct appraisals and coordinate staff training.
• Monitor attendance, performance and conduct disciplinary matters.
• Check and maintain staff time and pay records.
• Allocate passengers to transport runs and update records.
• Coordinate vehicle deployment and liaise with Fleet Services.
• Ensure services meet customer needs and Travelcare standards.
• Attend required training courses and cover operational duties when needed.
