Biffa Waste Services is seeking a Traffic Dispatcher to organise daily depot operations, allocate routes and oversee basic vehicle routing. You will ensure service levels, health and safety standards, and O-licence compliance are maintained while delivering efficient transportation outcomes.

Working Monday to Friday 08:00-16:30 at CT3 4GP, you will coordinate drivers, check vehicle readiness, and handle admin tasks such as payroll and timesheets, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Competenze

• Previous experience in a transport, traffic dispatch, logistics or fleet coordination role is desirable.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to plan and coordinate daily vehicle routes and driver schedules.
• Strong communication skills when dealing with drivers, depot managers, customers and other departments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage changing priorities.
• Good problem-solving skills to deal with delays, vehicle breakdowns and operational issues.
• Understanding of health and safety procedures and transport compliance.
• Ability to work as part of a team and support the smooth running of daily operations.

Traffic Dispatcher / Transport Administrator (Fixed Term Contract to cover long term absence)
