Job summary

Biffa Group is seeking a Traffic Dispatcher / Transport Administrator to join our UK depot. Shift hours are 8am to 16:30, Monday to Friday, with a focus on delivering reliable service and maintaining regulatory compliance.

You will coordinate routes, manage driver availability, oversee vehicle checks, and handle admin tasks including payroll and tachograph records, driving continuous improvement and efficiency in our operations.

The Traffic Administrator is responsible for managing the day-to-day organisation of operations in the depot through the allocation and basic routing of vehicles. You will ensure best in class service delivery to customers, ensuring health & safety standards are maintained, and ensuring environmental and O licence compliance.

Requirements

• Previous experience in transport administration, logistics, dispatch or a similar coordination role
• Strong administrative and organisational skills
• Experience coordinating drivers, vehicles and daily routes
• Confident communicating with drivers, depot managers, customers and other stakeholders
• Ability to plan and coordinate daily workloads and vehicle movements
• Ability to monitor vehicle/driver movements and respond to delays or operational issues
• Good understanding of health & safety procedures
• Ability to work effectively as part of a busy depot/transport team
