Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a qualified Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our Transformer manufacturing team. The successful candidate will drive process standardization, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure efficiency and quality across production lines.

You will mentor and train team members at a co-boss level, develop clear manufacturing procedures and SOPs, implement DFMs, perform RCA with quality teams, and share best practices for lean manufacturing and defect reduction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required
• Experience with manufacturing processes and procedures
• Ability to lead and mentor teams at a Co-Boss level
• Experience implementing quality improvement initiatives
• Proficiency in developing manufacturing procedures and SOPs
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

• Transformers manufacturing: ensure understanding of drawings, procedures and work instructions
• Leadership: act as Co-Boss, mentoring the team for high performance
• Quality Management: implement QA/QC measures and drive quality improvements
• Manufacturing Procedures: develop clear procedures and SOPs
• Process Standardization: standardize processes across assembly activities
• Problem Identification and Resolution: identify weaknesses and implement solutions
• Best Practices Sharing: share and implement best practices in transformer manufacturing
• Transfer to Production: introduce new designs with DFM integration
• RCA and Resolution: conduct Root Cause Analysis with quality teams and address production issues
• Quality Gate Reviews: support manufacturing quality gate reviews
• Continuous Improvement: lead lean/kaizen projects to reduce defects and improve stability
