Job summary

Northern Star Academies Trust Central is seeking a Hub Business Leader for Skipton Hub to drive operational delivery across two schools. You will oversee estates, facilities, day-to-day finance and HR, and support strategic development within the Craven Hub.

A key element is leading trust-wide projects to maximise grant revenue and sponsorship. The role is full-time, permanent, based in Skipton with leadership responsibilities across the network and close collaboration with headteachers and

Qualifications

• Recognised school business management qualification.
• Recognised health and safety qualification.
• Experience of designing business processes to maximise efficiency and effectiveness.
• Knowledge of IT systems relevant to school business management: Arbor, Every, IMP.
• An understanding of payroll processes and pay and conditions arrangements in schools.
• Direct of experience of school business management with responsibility across a full range of business services.
• Experience of working at senior school or trust leadership level, providing advice and support to senior leaders.
• Experience of procurement and effective contract management to secure value for money from contractors.
• A strong understanding of health and safety frameworks in schools, able to provide advice to colleagues on core issues
• A strong understanding of school finance with experience of creating and managing a school budget.
• Knowledge of safeguarding requirements in schools and of requirements for a compliant SCR in particular.

Responsibilities

• Drive effective operational delivery across the Craven Hub.
• Oversee estates and facilities management as well as day-to-day finance and HR processes.
• Support the strategic development of schools within the Hub.
• Collaborate with hub Estates Manager and school admin teams; build strong relationships with headteachers and stakeholders.
• Lead trust-wide projects, including revenue maximisation from grants and sponsorship to align with Trust priorities.
