Responsibilities

Contract Type: 12-month Secondment Fixed Term

Hours: 37 hours per week

Location: Sandwell Council House, Freeth St Oldbury B69 3DE – Hybrid

We are seeking a motivated and innovative Transformation Officer to join our Corporate Transformation team within the Finance and Transformation Directorate.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional with a passion for service improvement, organisational change and transformation. You will work closely with managers, employees and stakeholders across the council to review services, identify opportunities for improvement and support the delivery of transformational change programmes that improve outcomes for residents and communities.

Working across a variety of projects and service areas, you will play a key role in supporting business change activities, facilitating employee engagement, driving continuous improvement and embedding new ways of working across the organisation.

The opportunity:
  • You will support the delivery of service reviews, transformation projects and improvement initiatives across the council.
  • You will work with services to identify, develop and implement innovative solutions that improve service delivery and outcomes.
  • You will facilitate workshops, focus groups and engagement activities to support organisational change and transformation programmes.
  • You will undertake research, analysis and performance monitoring to inform decision‑making and service improvement activity.
  • You will support project and programme management activity across a range of business change initiatives.
  • You will act as a change champion, promoting innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement across the organisation.
In this role you will:

  • Proficiency in the use of ICT systems and data to support service improvement.
