Overview

As AXA XL continues to invest in its end-to-end capabilities, the Transformation and Change Lead will oversee the implementation of cross-functional initiatives and complex programs involving high USD investments that impact multiple functions or business units.

The Transformation and Change Lead will ensure holistic project management, meeting both technology and operational/business deliverables.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Setting up and launching programs/projects in collaboration with key stakeholders across business, technology, and other functions, including defining program charter, structuring (such as Agile product teams), milestones, and KPIs. Establish governance and onboard sponsors.
  2. Working closely with workstream leads, product owners, and project managers to monitor progress against milestones, KPIs, and budgets, including savings tracking.
  3. Identifying key change management activities throughout the project lifecycle and ensuring their proper execution, involving Change Management Experts as needed.
  4. Identifying and formalizing issues and risks, driving resolutions, and escalating decisions to governance committees.
  5. Managing communication with all stakeholders, including sponsors, steering committees, and related groups.
  6. Driving initiatives to enhance program management capabilities organization-wide, including frameworks, best practices, lessons learned, and training.
  7. Sharing expertise on program execution and fostering knowledge sharing among transformation and change managers.
  8. Bringing technical or topical expertise to the team.
  9. Providing mentorship and coaching to junior colleagues to develop their program management skills, offering feedback, knowledge sharing, and growth opportunities.
  10. Leading large-scale programs independently.

This role reports to the Head of Transformation and Change.

Desired Skills and Abilities
  • Extensive experience managing large-scale, multi-dimensional programs across geographies and functions.
  • Knowledge and experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Strong mentoring, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, especially with senior teams.
  • Experience in consulting is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills, with experience engaging senior management.
  • Business acumen combined with technology knowledge and understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Interpersonal and collaboration skills to align diverse stakeholders.
  • Negotiation, influence, and creativity skills to manage scope, schedule, costs, risks, and resources.
  • PROSCI certification or extensive change management experience is a plus.
