Job summary

Morson Group is seeking an experienced Engineering Delivery Manager for a 6-month contract in Manchester. You will lead the engineering delivery of tram control and signalling modifications, coordinating across central control and trackside systems to ensure safe, on-time delivery.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong stakeholder management and a track record of delivering complex rail/relevant transport projects in live environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in rail/tram signalling or control systems.
• Proven delivery leadership within complex rail projects.
• Experience with live infrastructure modifications.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the engineering delivery of modifications to tram control and signalling systems.
• Provide engineering leadership across design, integration, testing and implementation activities.
• Coordinate engineering activities across central control systems and trackside signalling equipment.
• Manage engineering interfaces between systems, signalling, infrastructure and project disciplines.
• Ensure engineering deliverables meet programme, quality and safety requirements.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and specialist suppliers.
• Review technical documentation, specifications and engineering assurance activities.
• Identify, manage and resolve technical risks, issues and interfaces.
• Maintain alignment of engineering activities with overall delivery milestones.
• Manage changes and ensure configuration and change-control processes are followed.
• Support testing, commissioning and integration activities.
• Ensure compliance with railway standards, legislation and project requirements.
• Engage with stakeholders to deliver modifications in a live transport environment.
