Job summary

Morgan Sindall Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Technical Manager (M&E and CRE) to lead technical delivery on railway station enhancement programmes across Manchester/Liverpool, UK. You will oversee M&E and telecoms, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, and ensure compliant, high-quality handover to operations.

The role requires strong CRE/ME&T leadership, rail systems knowledge, and a track record of delivering complex station projects from design through to commissioning and entry into

Qualifications

• Requires HNC or equivalent in engineering or related discipline.
• CRE accreditation or equivalent technical responsibility experience.
• Experience leading technical delivery across rail station projects.

Responsibilities

• Act as CRE across M&E and Telecoms for station enhancement projects.
• Provide technical leadership and assurance throughout design to handover.
• Lead M&E and telecoms activities for station improvement works.
• Develop and manage technical delivery programmes aligned with milestones.
• Coordinate M&E and telecoms with civil and multidisciplinary teams.
• Define technical scopes and support procurement for specialist packages.
• Manage contractors and suppliers ensuring compliance with standards.
• Review and approve WPPs, TBSs and ITPs.
• Oversee interfaces with signalling and control systems, and testing strategies.
• Lead FAT, SAT and integrated systems testing; ensure commissioning and asset handover.
