Job summary

Carrington West is seeking an experienced Rail Engineering Manager / Lead Project Engineer to drive the delivery of Control, Command and Signalling (CCS) systems on a major UK rail programme. Based in London or Birmingham with hybrid working, you will lead engineering across design, installation, testing and handover.

The role requires proven leadership, multi-disciplinary coordination, and the ability to challenge contractors while keeping the programme on track and aligned with governance

Qualifications

• Significant experience delivering rail signalling, control or CCS systems on major railway projects.
• Proven leadership and management experience in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience guiding schemes from design through delivery, testing and handover.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary engineering activities and coordinate interfaces.
• Challenge contractors and drive the CCS programme through design, installation, testing and handover.
• Own the engineering programme with strong governance and stakeholder management.
