Job summary

Aramark UK is seeking a Training Manager to lead and deliver essential training at HMP Millsike, a Category C prison serving over 1,600 meals daily. This role combines hospitality expertise with impactful training in a secure environment.

You will deliver food safety and allergen training, induct staff and prisoners, maintain records, and drive monthly safety checks while meeting KPIs and enabling progression for learners.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Food Safety qualification required.
• TAQA and PTTLS qualifications required.
• Train the Trainer certification preferred.
• Principles of Assessment Quality Assurance knowledge.
• Experience training staff and prisoners.
• Food hygiene Level 3 and Health & Safety Level 2.
• Level 2 Barista Skills or higher.
• Excellent communication and resilience, UK residency 5+ years.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Food Safety and Allergen training to prisoners in catering.
• Induct and train staff and prisoners in kitchen operations.
• Maintain training records and monthly safety checks.
• Provide practical demonstrations and hygiene instruction.
• Identify learners for NVQs and manage enrolments.
• Support food preparation when needed and meet KPIs.

Annual Salary: £37,500
Contract type: Permanent, full-time, 40 hours per week, Mon to Fri (some weekends when required)

What you’ll do:

• Deliver Food Safety and Allergen training to prisoners working in catering
• Induct and train staff and prisoners in kitchen operations
• Maintain training records and complete monthly safety checks
• Provide practical demonstrations and health & hygiene instruction
• Identify learners for NVQs and manage enrolments
• Support food preparation when needed
• Meet KPIs and report monthly training stats.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

• Strong food knowledge and Level 3 Food Safety qualification
• Must have has a minimum TAQA and PTTLS qualifications.
• Train the Trainer certification
• Principles of Assessment Quality Assurance
• Experience training and developing individuals
• Food hygiene certificate – Level 3
• Health & Safety Level 2
• Level 2 Barista Skills or above
• Excellent communication skills with patience and resilience
• UK residency for 5+ years, legal right to work, and ability to pass security vetting
