As the Training Manager, you will work with the HR, Learning and Quality Team, the Director of Care and Support and Registered Service Managers as well as any external training providers to support training and development across our services. You will work within Head Office however you will work on any site or places related to your work.

Job Description
As the Training Manager, you will work with the HR, Learning and Quality Team, the Director of Care and Support and Registered Service Managers as well as any external training providers to support training and development across our services. You will work within Head Office however you will work on any site or places related to your work.
Key Responsibilities And Duties
- Design and deliver essential training programmes, including the full Care Certificate induction for all new support workers during their probationary period.
- Manage and deliver all current mandatory and refresher training to ensure 100% staff compliance.
- Develop new training modules and programmes in collaboration with the Management Team to address emerging organisational needs and best practice in learning disability care.
- Work closely with the Training Administrator in creating a proactive and seamless service.
Training Design and Delivery
- Design and deliver essential training programmes, including the full Care Certificate induction for all new support workers during their probationary period.

Assurance and Compliance
- Support and assess learners working towards formal qualifications, including Apprenticeships and Diplomas.
- Work collaboratively with Registered Managers to efficiently track, evidence, and ensure the timely completion of all required refresher training for their teams.
- Monitor and support Managers in evaluating the performance and successful integration of new starters throughout their induction programme.
Strategic Development and Administration
- Coach and guide the management team on best practices for delivering high-quality, impactful training and fostering a culture of continuous development.
- Support the HR Lead in reporting on the status, progress, and effectiveness of all training matters.
- Successfully achieve individual objectives and contribute to the wider development strategy of WVHA.
- Execute all necessary administrative duties related to training documentation, records management, and scheduling.

Person Specification
Essential Requirements
- Hold a recognised Assessor qualification (Level 3 or higher)
- At least 2 years’ experience in a company trainer / assessor role
- Experience of training and coaching
- Evidence in following and maintaining workplace privacy
- Previous experience of Health & Social Care sector
- Sound knowledge of adult learning principles and blending learning methods
- Competent in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
- A high standard of English-language fluency
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Confident in facilitation and presentation of training sessions to all levels
- Capable of holding training sessions both in-person and online
- High level of integrity
- Determination and drive for excellent results, solution oriented
- Team player/commitment to group goals
- Able to use own initiative
- Actively engaged in own personal development with the ability to reflect on development needs and the initiative to work on this
- Must hold a valid driving licence and have access to own vehicle (for visiting other sites)
Desirable Requirements
- Hold an IQA (Internal Quality Assurer) qualification, or willingness to work towards
- Previous experience as a Training Manager or company Training Officer
- Experience in evaluating training effectiveness and reporting on performance
- Previous experience of sector compliance
- Previous experience within a Health and Safety role
- Knowledge of regulated qualification frameworks
- Knowledge of apprenticeship standards, end-point assessment and funding rules
- Capable of using learning platforms and technologies to facilitate sessions
