Job summary

HCRG Care Group's Learning Enterprise is seeking an experienced Quality and Safety Trainer to design, deliver and evaluate engaging learning across our health and care services, primarily in Surrey with some travel to Kent. You will deliver blended learning, support internal quality assurance, maintain the training catalogue and develop clear learning outcomes while adapting to different learner needs.

A degree-level background and a Level 4 teaching qualification are required, with travel

• Experience in patient moving/handling or BLS training is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver clinical and Quality and Safety training to diverse audiences.
• Deliver learning through a blend of face-to-face and virtual methods.
• Support internal quality assurance of clinical and Quality and Safety learning interventions.
• Maintain the training course catalogue and ensure information is up to date.
• Contribute to training projects and programmes of work.
• Support subject matter experts delivering learning across the organisation.
• Identify and implement improvements to learning provision.
• Support training needs analysis for new or updated learning interventions.
• Develop learning outcomes and course content.
• Adapt learning materials to meet different styles and needs.

• Manage workload, travel and priorities effectively.

Job description

We're now looking for an experienced and engaging Quality and Safety Trainer to join our team, working 37.5 hours per week. You'll play an important role in supporting training compliance and delivering high-quality learning across our health and care services. The role will primarily support services across Surrey, with some delivery of training in Kent also required. What you'll do As a Quality and Safety Trainer, you'll design, deliver and evaluate engaging learning that helps colleagues work safely, confidently and in line with the required quality and safety standards. You'll deliver training to colleagues from a variety of professional backgrounds, adapting your approach to different roles, levels of experience and learning needs. Working closely with colleagues across The Learning Enterprise and our operational services, you'll:

• Design and deliver engaging clinical and Quality and Safety training to a range of audiences
• Deliver learning through a blend of face-to-face and virtual methods
• Support the internal quality assurance of clinical and Quality and Safety learning interventions in line with TLE processes
• Help maintain the clinical and Quality and Safety training course catalogue, ensuring course information remains accurate and up to date
• Contribute to relevant training projects and programmes of work
• Support subject matter experts who deliver learning across the organisation
• Identify and implement improvements to learning provision
• Support training needs analysis to identify demand for new or updated learning interventions
• Develop clear learning outcomes, objectives and appropriate course content
• Adapt learning materials and delivery methods to meet different learning styles and additional needs

• Manage your own workload, travel and priorities effectively
• Work collaboratively with clinical, operational, quality and learning colleagues
• As regular travel forms an important part of the role, you'll need a full driving licence and the ability to travel between different locations., We're looking for someone who can make learning engaging, inclusive and relevant, and who shares our commitment to improving quality and safety across health and care services.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• Degree-level education or equivalent relevant experience
• A recognised Level 4 teaching, training or assessing qualification, or a willingness to achieve this within an agreed timeframe
• The ability to deliver training across a range of appropriate health and care subject areas
• Experience of designing, developing and delivering high-quality blended learning for health and care audiences
• Experience of delivering both face-to-face and virtual training
• Confidence and competence in using digital tools to develop and deliver learning
• Knowledge and experience of curriculum development and course design
• Strong presentation, facilitation, communication and coaching skills
• The ability to engage and inspire learners from different professional backgrounds
• Experience of supporting learners with different learning styles and additional needs
• Excellent planning, organisation and time-management skills
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• An awareness of current developments within health, care and education
• A genuine passion for developing others and improving the quality and safety of care
• Experience of delivering patient moving and handling or basic life support training would be beneficial, although training can be provided. Previous experience of delivering fire safety training is not required for this role.
