Job summary

Guernsey Recycling (GRG) is seeking a proactive Training Lead based in Guernsey or Jersey to develop, coordinate, and deliver training across our sites. You will work with operational teams, managers, and the compliance team to ensure training covers health and safety, procedures, and best working practices.

The role includes designing inductions, role-specific learning, and refresher programmes, scheduling sessions, tracking learning outcomes, and coordinating external providers when required.

Qualifications

• Experience in training, quality assurance, health and safety or related field.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly and practically.

Responsibilities

• Identify training requirements and skills gaps with site managers and compliance teams.
• Develop and maintain a practical training plan including inductions, role-specific learning, and refresher training.
• Implement training programmes across sites in a timely and organised manner.
• Use feedback, audits and incidents to prioritise training activities.
• Deliver engaging training through site-based sessions, workshops and coaching, with travel to Guernsey/Jersey as needed.
• Support new employees with induction and role-specific training.
• Coordinate external training providers when accredited qualifications are required.
• Monitor training effectiveness and suggest improvements.
