Qualifications

• Strong interest in utility, construction, civil engineering, or roadworks.
• Good communication and organisational skills.

• Basic understanding of health and safety practices (training provided).
• IOSH Managing Safely.
• HGV and other machinery licence (preferred; training provided).
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and delivery of roadworks and traffic management projects
• Support site managers in coordinating daily operations on-site
• Ensure all works are carried out in line with health and safety regulations
• Maintain quality control procedures
• Monitor workforce performance and provide support where needed
• Liaise with clients, local authorities, and subcontractors
• Help manage project schedules, materials, and equipment
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with company standards
• Maintain accurate records and reports of site activities including checking, preparing site reports, designs and drawings
• Respond to any on-site issues or emergencies in a timely manner

We are seeking a motivated andreliable Trainee Manager to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity forsomeone looking to develop a career in roadworks, civil engineering, utility,and traffic management. You will work closely with experienced managers tolearn all aspects of road-works operations, including planning, coordination,safety compliance, and team supervision.
