This is an exciting opportunity to join a large-scale, safety-critical environment where you will play a key role in supporting workforce capability, compliance, and development. Working closely with operational teams, HR, managers, and external training providers, you will ensure employees have the skills, qualifications, and certifications required to perform safely and effectively.
The Role
As Training Advisor, you will coordinate training and competence activities across the project, helping to ensure workforce readiness and compliance with project standards.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Coordinating training requirements and development plans across multiple teams.
- Managing training schedules to support operational and project deadlines.
- Liaising with external providers to arrange and validate training activities.
- Monitoring mandatory training, qualifications, certifications, and competency records.
- Identifying compliance risks, training gaps, and upcoming renewals.
- Maintaining accurate training data and ensuring records are audit-ready.
- Advising managers and supervisors on training and competence requirements.
- Producing regular reports on compliance, training completion, and workforce capability.
- Supporting audits and ensuring training documentation is kept up to date.
- Working closely with stakeholders to maintain consistent training standards across the project.
- Assisting with improvements to training processes, systems, and procedures.
- Promoting a positive culture of learning, development, and continuous improvement.
About You
- Experience within a Training, Learning & Development, Training Coordinator, or Competency Management role.
- CIPD Level 3-5 in Learning & Development, or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience within construction, engineering, infrastructure, manufacturing, utilities, or another regulated environment.
- Knowledge of training compliance, certification management, and competency frameworks.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and learning or training management systems.
