Objectives of this role...

As Trainer, you will deliver a range of hospitality and tourism related interpersonal and professional development skills, employability skills, accredited qualifications, and practical skills workshops, both online and in person.

Accredited qualifications include Licensing, Food Safety and Customer service; practical hospitality skills include bar, floor service, and cocktails/mocktail; delivered mainly to groups of school pupils and courses of unemployed people, but can also include community groups, other third sector providers, underemployed industry professionals and employers.

Your activities and services will help school pupils, students, young people and unemployed adults – particularly those with barriers – into positive destinations, further education or to secure work in hospitality and tourism.

A month in the life of...

➢ Travelling to schools to deliver workshops as part of our Careers & Education activity

➢ Travelling to our employability courses, hosted in industry venues (i.e., hotels), to deliver training

➢ Delivering training for accredited qualifications, supporting our participants to achieve a pass in the subsequent exam

➢ Delivering practical skills training to increase participant knowledge of, and confidence in, delivering key entry-level hospitality roles like taking an order, pulling a pint and basic kitchen knife skills

➢ Delivering qualifications and practical skills online to our Digital courses

➢ Continually refreshing and developing new content to keep pace with industry trends and employer expectations

➢ Supporting our Career & Employability Delivery Managers to in-turn support our beneficiaries into employment

This job is for you if you have...

✓ Training qualifications (PTTLS/AET Level 3/Group Training) and certificates in Personal Licensing, Food Safety Level 3 and Customer Service/WorldHost

✓ Experience inducting, training and mentoring team members in a Food & Beverage-focused Hospitality and Tourism business

✓ Experience in delivering training in a blended format (both online and in-person)

✓ Exceptional people & communication skills

✓ Experience working with school-age and inexperienced/unemployed adults

✓ Excellent digital skills and experience (including CRM systems)

✓ Flexibility and willingness to travel.
