We are recruiting Trainee Residential Youth Workers to join our team in children’s residential care homes and Independent Living settings in Manchester and surrounding areas.
You will work with young people aged 11 to 16 who have been placed into care for various reasons, with diverse disorders, behaviours, and needs. We seek individuals with the confidence, patience, and skills to work successfully with these children and positively impact their lives.
The role involves providing security, guidance, interaction, and support to children in residential or independent living environments, aiming to create an environment that meets their intellectual, spiritual, social, and emotional needs.
As part of a team, you will support children throughout the day with tasks such as meal preparation, education, and shopping.
We are looking for flexible, reliable, and engaging individuals interested in working in a specialist environment. Full training and qualifications will be provided to suitable candidates.
A driving license is advantageous, as you may need to drive the unit car to take young people to destinations like family contacts, school, and social activities.
The position offers both full-time and part-time hours within a zero-hour contract, with opportunities to progress to full-time employment.
Please note, candidates will need to complete an enhanced DBS check with Fulbridge Social Care and successfully finish one of our induction programs before placements can be offered, unless already on the national DBS database.
