Job Opportunity: Trainee Residential Support Workers

We are recruiting 5 Qualified and 8 Non-Qualified Trainee Residential Support Workers to join our experienced team in our clients' children's residential care homes in Wigan, Manchester, Stockport, and Rochdale.

Our organization offers a unique opportunity for individuals who may not have the relevant qualifications and experience, as we have a dedicated training department to support and train you. We believe that some of the best youth workers are those with life experience and a desire to work in the care sector.

You will work with young people aged 11 to 18, who are in the care system for various reasons and have diverse needs, including disorders and challenging behaviors. We seek individuals with confidence, understanding, patience, and the skills to make a positive impact on their lives.

This position involves providing guidance, interaction, and support to children and young adults in residential, educational, or independent living settings, aiming to create a safe environment catering to their intellectual, spiritual, social, and emotional needs.

You will support the children and young people throughout the day with tasks such as meal preparation, social activities, family contacts, education, and shopping.

We are looking for positive role models who are flexible, reliable, and interactive, eager to work in a specialist environment. Full training and qualifications will be provided, including Team Teach, Child Protection, St John Ambulance First Aid, Understanding Sexualised Behaviour, Working with Self Harm, Understanding Autism and ADHD, and Lone Work training.

Please note that you will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check or provide a portable DBS, and successfully complete one of our assessment programs prior to placements.
