Job summary

Pacifica is seeking a Trainee White Goods Engineer - Field Based in Bath. You will undertake full City & Guilds Assured training at our northeast training centre and be paired with a dedicated mentor to become a qualified technician.

No prior white goods repair experience is required, but hands-on mechanical or electrical experience with using tools is helpful. You will visit customers' homes, diagnose faults, and repair appliances, recording work in our in-house software.

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical or electrical experience with tool use is preferred.
• No prior white goods repair experience is required; training will be provided.
• Willingness to learn and grow through structured training and mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain household appliances including washing machines, tumble dryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, and electric cookers.
• Visit customers' homes to diagnose faults and carry out repairs safely and efficiently.
• Troubleshoot on-site using mechanical/electrical knowledge and in-house software.
• Record and manage job details and follow mentor guidance to build skills.
• Provide clear explanations of repairs and deliver excellent customer service.
• Participate in ongoing training and career development.

What You Will Do

As a Trainee White Goods Engineer - Field Based, your role will involve:

• Learning to repair and maintain household appliances including washing machines, tumble dryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, and electric cookers
• Visiting customers' homes to diagnose issues and carry out repairs safely and efficiently
• Building on your mechanical/electrical experience to troubleshoot and solve problems on-site
• Recording and managing job details using our in-house engineer software
• Following guidance from your mentor while building your skills and confidence
• Providing excellent customer service, explaining repairs clearly and professionally
• Continuously developing your technical skills through structured training and on-the-job experience
