Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding is seeking a motivated individual to join our UK team as a Transport Operator/Coordinator. You will learn transport planning, raise customer bookings, and support the Transport Manager with vehicle servicing and compliance, gaining exposure to tachographs, dangerous goods and various internal systems.

Qualifications

Knowledge of Freight Forwarding industry is desirable.
Experience of HMRC procedures essential.
GCSEs including Maths and English at Grade C or above.

Responsibilities

Learning transport planning and vehicle routing
Raising customer bookings
Supporting the Transport Manager with vehicle servicing and maintenance scheduling
Logging and reporting operational issues
Briefing drivers and debriefing at shift end
Assisting the customer service team with queries
Developing understanding of Transport Operator Licensing and tachograph regulations
Learning dangerous goods handling requirements
Gaining experience across internal and external systems
Ensuring compliance with DPDHL Code of Conduct and anti-corruption policies
