Job summary

SWARCO UK is seeking a motivated Trainee Engineer to join our Traffic Solutions team at the Birmingham Depot. You will gain hands-on experience maintaining, repairing and commissioning traffic signal systems and related equipment across the Black Country contract.

Working with experienced engineers, you will develop practical engineering skills, learn safety procedures and progress within traffic engineering while supporting installation and fault-finding activities on site.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English, Mathematics and Science.
• Full UK MANUAL Driving Licence is Essential.
• Willingness to learn and develop technical engineering skills.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety and safe working practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and commission traffic signal systems and equipment.
• Assist installation, maintenance, fault-finding and commissioning tasks.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance activities on site.
• Complete accurate work records and comply with safety procedures.
• Travel to customer locations and work outdoors in all weather.
