SWARCO UK in St Albans is recruiting a Trainee Traffic Signals Installer to learn on the job, installing, maintaining and commissioning traffic signals and pedestrian crossings. You don't need prior traffic signals experience—an electrical/technical background or practical experience helps.

Qualifications

• You don't need traffic signals experience but an interest in how things work is helpful.
• Electrical qualification or college course would be beneficial.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills are important.
• Willingness to work outdoors and travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Support the installation and commissioning of traffic signals and related equipment.
• Learn to test, maintain and fault-find electrical equipment.
• Follow site procedures and work safely on customer sites.
• Work with experienced engineers to develop your skills.
• Complete relevant training and industry qualifications as you progress.
• Build experience with technology that keeps communities moving safely.
