Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer Oxfordshire, United Kingdom (On-site)

Join our Engineering Team at Telent to innovate and develop solutions, working with technical experts committed to making a difference. Be part of a high-performing team maintaining the nation's critical infrastructure, connected and protected 24/7.

Reporting to the Contract Manager, the Trainee Traffic Maintenance Engineer will work with Traffic Signals specialists in Oxfordshire. Due to growth, we are expanding our Traffic team in this area.

What you’ll do:

Work closely with experienced Traffic Engineers to troubleshoot, fix, maintain, and test Traffic Signals, Traffic Lights, and related electrical equipment in Oxfordshire.

Training includes on-the-job learning towards an NVQ in Electrical Installations and certifications like ECS and NHSS Chapter 8.

Who you are:

Interested in electrical troubleshooting, testing, and maintenance, with some exposure to electrical work, whether from work experience or college courses.

Key Requirements:

• Motivated to learn both on the job and online
• Experience or qualification in electrical testing, maintenance, or installation
• Problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
• Full UK Driving Licence and residency in Oxfordshire
• Willing to undertake Drugs & Alcohol testing
