Job summary

Vision for Education is recruiting enthusiastic Trainee Teaching Assistants to work in primary schools across Thurrock through the NTAP programme. No prior classroom experience is required as comprehensive training is provided, and you'll gain valuable classroom exposure before stepping into a role.

You will support teachers, work with groups and individuals, foster positive behaviour, and build relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

Qualifications

• No prior classroom experience is required; NTAP training provided.
• Experience working with children in any setting is beneficial but not essential.
• Strong communication and adaptability are valued.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons across the primary curriculum.
• Work with small groups and individual pupils to help them achieve learning goals.
• Encourage positive behaviour and create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
• Assist children with varying learning needs, including those with SEND.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
