Job summary

Lovell is seeking a Trainee Site Manager for the North West region, based in Pendleton, Salford. This permanent, full-time role offers extensive on-the-job training and progression within site management.

You will support the Site Manager, help implement the programme, engage with inspectors and regulators, and ensure safety and quality through effective coordination with teams and clients.

Qualifications

• Basic awareness of NHBC Regulations and Building Regulations.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety Regulations and Environmental Regulations.
• Understanding of good trade practice and structural principles.

Responsibilities

• Assist Site Manager with implementing the site programme.
• Liaise with NHBC, Building Control, Highways and Water Authority Inspectors.
• Support health, safety and environmental compliance including forms and procedures.
• Communicate with the supply chain, Lovell departments, clients and customers.
• Support quality control and document management.

Job description

Permanent – Full Time – 40 Hours

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, ambitious Trainee Site Manager to join our team within Lovell’s North West region working in Pendleton, Salford.

Reporting to the Site Manager, the Trainee Site Manager will carry out a variety of site management tasks, ensuring the site is kept tidy and presented to the public in a clean, tidy manner.

An extensive training programme will be offered as well as on the job development to help you with key aspects of the role such as:

• Understanding the programme requirements of the site, whilst assisting the Site Manager in its implementation.
• Liaising with NHBC, Building Control, Highways and Water Authority Inspectors to ensure technical compliance and programme.
• Health, safety, and environmental matters will be a key part of your responsibilities including assisting with all statutory forms and procedures.
• Communicating effectively with our supply chain, other Lovell departments, and our clients and customers.
• Quality control and compliance with our document management system.
