Job summary

Lovell is seeking a Trainee Site Manager for our North West region, based in Pendleton, Salford. The role reports to the Site Manager and involves assisting with site tasks, managing cleanliness and presentation, and learning key construction processes.

An extensive training programme will develop your understanding of NHBC/building regulations, health and safety, quality control, and coordination with inspectors, supply chain, and clients, with opportunities to progress your construction career

Qualifications

  • Basic awareness of NHBC Regulations, Building Regulations, and good trade practice.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out a variety of site management tasks and assist the Site Manager.
  • Ensure the site is tidy and presented to the public in a clean, tidy manner.
  • Assist with health, safety and environmental matters including statutory forms and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with supply chain, Lovell departments, clients and customers.
  • Quality control and compliance with document management systems.

Job description

Permanent – Full Time – 40 Hours

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, ambitious Trainee Site Manager to join our team within Lovell’s North West region working in Pendleton, Salford.

Reporting to the Site Manager, the Trainee Site Manager will carry out a variety of site management tasks, ensuring the site is kept tidy and presented to the public in a clean, tidy manner.

An extensive training programme will be offered as well as on the job development to help you with key aspects of the role such as:

  • Understanding the programme requirements of the site, whilst assisting the Site Manager in its implementation.
  • Liaising with NHBC, Building Control, Highways and Water Authority Inspectors to ensure technical compliance and programme.
  • Health, safety, and environmental matters will be a key part of your responsibilities including assisting with all statutory forms and procedures.
  • Communicating effectively with our supply chain, other Lovell departments, and our clients and customers.
  • Quality control and compliance with our document management system.

All that we ask is that you have a basic awareness of NHBC Regulations, Building Regulations, and knowledge of good trade practice. You’ll also bring some knowledge of Health & Safety Regulations, Environmental Regulations as well as an understanding of structural principles.
