Job summary

Scott & Co, part of Marston Holdings, invites applications for a Trainee Sheriff Officer based in Aberdeen. This 37.5-hour week role offers structured training, on-the-job learning, and a clear path to qualification as a Sheriff Officer with progression to a funded professional qualification.

You’ll start with on-road training, real-time case processing, and weekly development sessions while building essential skills in communication, accuracy and customer interactions.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Sheriff Officer in the execution of their duties.
• Processing service updates reports and fees in real time via Optimise Tablet platform.
• Checking documents for accuracy corroborating facts and dialogue obtained during customer interactions.
• On road training from experienced Sheriff Officer.
• Weekly Training sessions delivered by Training & Development Manager.
• Homework assignments.
• Regular progress assessments.

Trainee Sheriff Officer

Location: Aberdeen

Scott & Co is a leading provider of debt recovery, enforcement and legal document service. We are part of Marston Holdings, the UK’s largest judicial services group, providing integrated court order compliance.

We now have an immediate vacancy for a Trainee Sheriff Officer based in Aberdeen.

We are looking for a confident self-motivated individual looking for a new challenge and to gain a new qualification to build a career with us at Scott & Co.The role will be focused on giving you a qualification and 121 learning and support with our Sheriff Officers. After you have gained your qualification with us you will be qualified to be a Sheriff Officer for Scott & Co which includes an increase in salary along with a company car and the opportunity to train as a messenger at arms.

This is a full-time role 37.5 hours per week. Hours of work: Monday - Friday 08.30am to 5.00pm.

What you’ll be doing:
