NHS Forth Valley is offering a training post for an enthusiastic registered nurse or midwife to become a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) – School Nurse. The role includes a 52-week Post Graduate Diploma at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, with practice placements in NHS Forth Valley.

Training under Annex 21 leads to a substantive Band 7 SCPHN post on completion and registration. Travel around the service area is essential and PVG checks apply.

• Registered nurse or midwife with current NMC registration.
• Entry to the QMU programme with academic requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Develop knowledge and skills to provide a safe, person-centred service to school-aged children and families.
• Undertake health needs assessment, health promotion and early intervention.
• Engage in safeguarding and partnership working with Education, Social Work and partners.
