Otis London is seeking a motivated Lift Repairs Trainee to join our repair team. You will learn to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of lift equipment safely and efficiently, working with experienced engineers on real projects.

The role includes structured on-the-job training with progression to a fully qualified Lift Repairs Engineer. A UK driving licence and willingness to travel are required, with extensive safety and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong interest in mechanical and/or electrical engineering.
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Basic IT and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Desirable: Level 2/3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Desirable: Previous experience in engineering, maintenance, or construction environments.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Trainee Lift Repairs Engineer to join our repair team. This role is ideal for someone looking to start or develop a career in the lift and escalator industry. You will work alongside experienced engineers to learn how to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of lift equipment safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist qualified engineers with the repair and refurbishment of lift systems
• Support fault finding and troubleshooting on mechanical and electrical components
• Carry out basic repair tasks under supervision, including parts replacement and adjustments
• Learn to read and interpret technical drawings and service manuals
• Ensure all work is completed in line with company procedures and industry safety standards

• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and occasionally customers
• Adhere strictly to health & safety regulations at all times
