Job summary

Otis London is seeking a Lift Repair Engineer to cover the London region. You will maintain a portfolio of lifts and escalator units, ensure passenger safety, and perform planned repairs from minor to major refurbishments across contractual and quoted work.

You will liaise with customers on site and build strong working relationships. We require NVQ Level 3 in Escalator service/maintenance/repair, a valid driver’s license, and at least 24 months’ elevator sector experience.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in escalator service/maintenance/repair.
• Driver's license and within 1-hour commute of London.
• At least 24 months of experience in the elevator sector.
• Strong electrical engineering skills and safety focus.
• Able to work independently or in a team and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned repair work across territories, from minor to major repairs.
• Perform small modifications and larger refurbishments on contractual and quoted work.
• Liaise directly with customers on site and build working relationships.

Role Overview

You will ensure the safety of passengers by safely maintaining a portfolio of lifts and escalator units. On a typical day you will: be responsible for planned repair work across a territory, ranging from minor to major repairs and small modifications to larger refurbs work on a mixture of contractual repairs and quoted repair work liaise directly with the customer whilst on site and build a good working relationship.

What you will need to be successful.

• Hold an NVQ level 3 in Escalator service, maintenance, or repair.
• Hold a driver’s license and within 1 hour commute of London
• You have at least 24 months of experience in the elevator sector.
• You have good skills in electricity and electrical engineering.
• You are a committed professional, with safety as your priority.
• You are comfortable communicating to others.
• You are curious, adaptable, and you know how to work alone or in a team.
• You are comfortable using electronic and digital tools.
