Job summary

Masstemps is seeking a Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join its team. You will speak confidently with candidates and clients, screen and register candidates, interview via Teams or phone, and match candidates to roles.

You will visit client sites, build relationships, and learn the local job market while working towards recruitment targets in a supportive, training-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Confident speaking with people over the telephone.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Friendly, approachable and comfortable meeting new people.
• Motivated, proactive and eager to learn recruitment.
• Able to work well under pressure in a busy environment.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Good computer skills and adaptability to new systems.
• Confident using email, Teams and general office software.
• Professional manner with candidates and clients.
• Comfortable travelling to client sites when required.
• Holds a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Speak confidently with candidates and clients over the telephone.
• Screen and register candidates for vacancies.
• Conduct interviews in person, via Microsoft Teams, and by telephone.
• Match candidates to suitable job opportunities.
• Attend client sites to meet candidates and discuss roles.
• Build strong relationships by visiting clients and understanding recruitment needs.
• Take job specifications and understand required skills and experience.
• Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the process.
• Update and maintain internal recruitment systems and databases.
• Ensure candidate records and documentation are accurate and up to date.
• Work as part of a team to meet recruitment targets.
• Develop knowledge of recruitment, employment and local job market.
• Provide a professional and friendly service to candidates and clients.
