TimePlan Education is recruiting a Trainee Recruitment Consultant in Southampton. No prior recruitment experience is required; training will be provided, with a focus on engaging teachers and support staff for schools and educational settings.

You'll join a supportive team, develop skills in candidate sourcing, interviewing and placement, and work towards individual and team targets while benefiting from structured coaching and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Mathematics at Grade C/4 or above.
• No prior recruitment experience required; full training provided.
• Structured training and ongoing development to build recruitment capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Find candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, social media, referrals and database.
• Speak with applicants to understand experience, availability and goals.
• Build and maintain strong candidate relationships.
• Write engaging job adverts and support recruitment campaigns.
• Match suitable candidates with vacancies.
• Coordinate interviews and support candidates through the process.
• Maintain accurate candidate and vacancy records and assist with references.
• Ensure safeguarding and compliance checks.

Trainee Recruitment Consultant - Education

Location: Southampton

Salary: £26,000 plus bonuses

Hours: Full time - 1 work from home day per week (Wednesday)

We're looking for a motivated Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join our education recruitment team. You don't need previous recruitment experience. We're more interested in your attitude, communication skills and willingness to learn.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone from a customer service, sales, hospitality, retail, administration or education background who wants to build a long-term professional career.

The role

Initially, you'll focus on finding and engaging talented teachers and support staff for schools, colleges and educational settings. With structured training and support, you'll gradually develop the skills needed to manage vacancies, build client relationships and run your own recruitment desk.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Finding candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, social media, referrals and our database.
• Speaking with applicants to understand their experience, availability and career goals.
• Building and maintaining strong candidate relationships.
• Writing engaging job adverts and supporting recruitment campaigns.
• Matching suitable candidates with vacancies.
• Coordinating interviews and supporting candidates throughout the process.
