Here's what to expect from your role as a trainee recruitment consultant:

Time on the phone:You’ll spend a significant amount of time on the phone to build relationships, win new business (jobs), and identify candidates that fit those roles.
Mastering LinkedIn:LinkedIn is a key platform for any recruiter, you’ll grow your network, build your personal brand, and be consistently outreaching to clients and candidates to build your pipeline.
Managing the full recruitment lifecycle:You'll be sourcing candidates, guiding them through the interview process and supporting them as they start the new role. You'll also learn to handle client communication, manage expectations, and ensure a smooth hiring process for client and candidate.
Highly organised:You’ll be writing job adverts, scheduling an coordinating interview process, and have to keep your application tracking system updated accurately - because the devil’s in the detail.

Ideally 6 months of sales experience(the industry isn’t important, we’re keen to hear about your transferable skills).
Motivation and drive.Recruitment is ideal for people that set high goals and work hard to achieve them.
Outstanding communicationskills (think clear, confident, and friendly).
Can juggle multiple tasksat once and keep your cool (because recruitment can get fast-paced!).
Team playerwho brings a positive mindset wherever you go.

Practical judgment.You’ll demonstrate sound decision-making skills and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
