Job summary

Siemens Mobility is recruiting three Trainee Installation Team Leaders to join our Rail Automation team in Birmingham or Manchester. You will start as a trainee with a structured development plan to build technical knowledge, leadership skills, and progress toward becoming a team leader for installation teams within 2–3 years.

You will plan and manage installation activities, ensure safety and quality, and coordinate with staff and contractors.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate with teams.
• GCSEs grade C or above required; basic engineering background preferred.
• Driving license is mandatory; willingness to work day and night shifts as needed.
• Experience in railway signalling installation and supervising staff is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage and carry out site installation activities safely.
• Organise and control work undertaken by staff and contractors.
• Certify time sheets and manage timekeeping and discipline.
• Brief staff effectively and ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Progress towards team leadership within 2–3 years.
