Job summary

Siemens Mobility in the UK is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of Telecoms, Networks, SCADA and SISS projects for Mainline, Light Rail and Mass Transit railways. You will oversee Engineering, Installation, Testing and Commissioning to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

The role includes mobilising the business unit for Ireland readiness, travel to client and supplier meetings, and developing strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Extensive project management and business management experience.
• Management of high value capital investment projects with client interface.
• Delivery of projects through full life cycle.
• Management and integration of multidisciplinary project teams.
• Management of Project Control: Planning, Estimating, Financial Control and commercial management.
• Compliance with local Health and Safety statutory obligations.
• Ability to maintain margin in a competitive environment.
• Anticipate problems and take mitigating actions.
• Experience of managing expenditure and budgets within a project environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of projects for Telecoms, Networks, SCADA and SISS for Mainline, Light Rail and Mass Transit railways.
• Manage all project Engineering, Installation, Testing and Commissioning activities.
• Deliver systems on time and within budget.
• Lead mobilisation and alignment to RI readiness in Ireland; travel to meetings as required.
• Recruit locally and build relationships with clients throughout project lifecycles.
• Monitor progress against programme and budget; identify and mitigate risks.
• Oversee Change Management processes and approve scope/budgets changes.
