Siemens Mobility in the UK is seeking three Installation Team Leaders to join the Rail Automation team based in Birmingham or Manchester. You will plan, manage, and carry out site installation activities; this safety-critical role requires guiding teams, ensuring safety, timekeeping, and adherence to instructions.

Travel and lodge away from Home Depot may be required; day and night shifts could be necessary to meet operational needs. Prior IRSE installation licensing is essential.

As part of our Rail Infrastructure business, you’ll join a team that is transforming how people and goods move, making rail travel safer, smarter, greener, and more efficient.

We are recruiting three Installation Team Leaders to join our Rail Automation business within Rail Infrastructure, based in Birmingham or Manchester. As a member of the Construction Team, you will plan, manage and carry out Site installation activities as detailed below. You will take a proactive role in advising others of issues, actions and risks.

This role is classified as safety critical and is subject to a pre-employment medical assessment, which must be successfully completed prior to start.

You will make a difference by

• Acting as a team leader for installation teams.
• Organising and planning work to maximise utilisation of resources.
• Organising and controlling the work undertaken by staff and contractors allocated and to ensure that it is carried out safely.
• Managing the personal safety and the administration, of allocated staff and contractors.
• Ensuring that the briefing of instructions to staff under his control or allocated to him for such purpose is carried out timely.
• Being responsible for timekeeping and discipline of staff/Agency workers under his/her control.

Your role profile may vary from time to time in accordance with business needs. Your annual objective setting with your line manager will outline any additional responsibilities required to meet business or individual development needs for the forthcoming financial year.

What You'll Need To Succeed

• Significant experience in railway signalling installation.
• Experience in supervising staff or leading teams.
• IRSE installation license essential, optional team leader license.
• Fully conversant with all current Health and Safety legislation/standards and NR working Standards.
• Must be willing to travel and lodge away from Home Depot when required and prepared to work on day and night shifts as required by operational circumstances.
• Must hold current driving license and current PTS certificate.
