Job summary

BAM is recruiting for a Trainee Quantity Surveyor Degree Apprenticeship 2026 Social Infrastructure South in Southern England. The 3-year degree programme runs from September 2026 and aims toward a Level 6 degree and CIOB chartered status.

You will work alongside an experienced team on multi-million pound civil projects, studying at Leeds College of Building with block release and on-site mentoring. Willingness to travel is expected.

Qualifications

GCSE Maths grade 5 or above
GCSE English grade 4 or above
3 additional GCSEs grade 4+
HNC Construction & built environment – quantity surveying or Level 4 QS Technician apprenticeship

Responsibilities

Collaborating with engineers on design, planning and execution of civil engineering projects
Communicating effectively at all levels
Assist with planning and coordination of site activities
Maintain good relationships with client, designer, supply chain and others
Learn to use tools for cost and project management
Learn to overcome challenges on live projects
Drive quality through planning and right-first-time delivery
Be on-site and travel as required
