Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting a Senior Building Services Surveyor to join our London Construction region on a Worthing project. You will lead procurement, valuations, and contract administration to deliver on time and within budget.

You will work with a collaborative team, manage subcontractors, and contribute to risk and opportunity planning while maintaining client relationships and compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing and working within a team on large-scale projects.
• Qualified at degree level and/or working towards MRICS, MCIOB, or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Procurement of subcontract packages and assembling enquiry documentation.

BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting a Senior Building Services Surveyor to join our London Construction region. The position will be based on a project in Worthing.

Making Possible

As the Senior Building Services Surveyor for the London region you will be responsible for:

• Procurement of subcontract packages.
• Assembling enquiry documentation.
• Obtaining and analysing Subcontractor quotations and making recommendations.
• Making payments to Subcontractors/Suppliers.
• Commercial control of subcontract packages.
• Supporting the main contract valuation preparation.
• Assisting in the monthly and quarterly forecast reporting process & cashflow.
• Preparation, submission, agreement of variations and final accounts.
• Supporting and contributing to Project risk and opportunity planning.
• Maintaining a professional approach with clients and professional teams, sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Seeking opportunities and development in design to improve the overall project delivery.
• Managing client valuations and variations all the way through to agreeing the final account.
• Maintaining client and consultant professional relationships.
• Ensuring compliance with contract requirements.

Working within the London Building Services team, reporting into the Building Services Director.

A demonstrable and proven track record working for a main contractor in the construction industry in a single & two stage tender environment.

• Experience in managing and working within a team.
• Qualified at degree level and/or working towards MRICS, MCIOB, or equivalent professional level.

• An expert negotiator with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
