Job summary

Silcom Recruitment is assisting a franchised car dealership group on the outskirts of Fareham to recruit a Trainee Purchase Ledger Clerk. The role sits within the accounting function and offers comprehensive training to the right candidate.

You will learn Purchase Ledger duties, data input, supplier liaison, and balancing supplier statements as part of a collaborative team, with a Monday–Friday 8:00–17:00 schedule and a starting salary of £18,000.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and develop within an accounting function.
• Educational experience towards accounting (AAT studier).
• Previous experience an advantage but not necessary (1-2 years).

The Role:

A superb opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Purchase Ledger Clerk to join an established motor trade business, based around the outskirts of Fareham.

Due to a period of continued growth, our client, a new and used franchised car dealership group, is actively seeking a proactive individual to join their accounting function, on a permanent basis. Working as part of an established team, our client is willing and able to afford training to like-minded individuals. The ideal Trainee Purchase Ledger Clerk will possess the following attributes:

• Willingness to learn and develop within an accounting function
• Educational experience towards accounting (AAT studier)
• Previous experience an advantage but not necessary (1-2 years)

The Package:

• Monday to Friday - (8:00-5:00) with an hour for lunch.
• Starting salary £18,000.
