Job summary

Lift Crescent View hosts a school-based Initial Teacher Training year for trainee primary teachers through an Apprenticeship route, earning while learning toward a PGCE and QTS.

You will gain practical classroom experience, supported by mentors, and participate in weekly training while developing teaching confidence across KS1. The programme runs for 1 year full-time with Summer School dates in August 2027.

Qualifications

• Degree: Undergraduate degree with a 2:2 classification or above (or equivalent) by the start of the programme.
• GCSEs: Grade 4 (C) or above in GCSE English, Mathematics & Science (or equivalent).
• Status: Right to live and work in the UK for the duration of the training year.
• Teaching status: Must not currently hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• SEND experience: Minimum of 3 months experience within SEN (Special Educational Needs).

Responsibilities

• Gain practical classroom experience while applying pedagogical theory.
• Benefit from 1-on-1 mentoring and in-school coaching throughout the year.
